Incenter Consulting, LLC
About Us
Incenter Consulting, LLC is a New York City-based compliance consulting
firm focusing on records and information management. Our team of records
managers and consultants has decades of experience in developing records
management programs for clients from various industries, including insurance,
pharmaceutical, finance, higher education, foundations, and the public sector.
In our approach to developing, updating or refining records management programs
for our clients, we work towards creating a thorough but very adoptable program
that can be easily understood and maintained by everyone within an organization.
Our process involves a detailed analysis of an organization’s paper and
electronic records, including all pertinent information related to each record
type – always focusing on developing records retention schedules and classification
schemes that can be easily migrated to existing or future electronic document
management systems. Our programs are uniquely designed for each client’s
infrastructure and culture, going beyond the basics of legal research and compliance
requirements (such as HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and the new Federal Rules of Civil
Procedure regarding electronic discovery) to focus on a company’s present
and future goals for managing records. This forward-thinking approach is an essential
element of a sustainable, successful Records Management program that will limit,
rather than exacerbate, future costs.
Additionally, we provide records management related services for maintaining
and organizing documents. Our consultants work with clients to develop cost-effective
ways to manage records, purge documents based on records retention requirements,
and inventory older records. Our teams of records specialists have inventoried
thousands of boxes at offsite storage centers and within client locations, applied
retention policies and purged unnecessary, irrelevant documents that may expose
organizations to unnecessary costs associated with legal discovery, while providing
clients with accurate, up-to-date inventories that will make day-forward management
of their records much easier.
